I usually dont do this kind of thing round here but I’m really amused at what money can do for people.
So first Jerry and now Pharrell. Both people bought up by the big old Micro$oft to shell windows to people. I’m honestly all for celebrity endorsements, but lets be truthful here people. Jerry had a mac on his desk for every single episode of Seinfeld. Its a god dammned trivia question for chrissakes. And now this new microsoft commercial “i’m a PC” Pharrell from N.E.R.D. says hes a PC when he makes a living by making music on a mac, has a golden iphone? I’m going to go out on a limb and say that he doesnt use a PC as an everyday machine, but that money made him appear to be a PC in a commercial to get the wing vote for PC’s on the younger folk.
I’m pretty sure in both photos below that Pharrell is rocking a mac. But then again you can judge that.

jordan brand recipe for success…. jordan VI (awesome), original white color base, (awesome), harlequin olympic color accents, patent leather upper, weird butterfly embroidery on the toe, annnnnd $150 price point… sigh. what’s difficult about making a white version of the DMP VI? white with gold… olympics.. come on.. not rocket science.

Kobe has been promoting the Hyperdunk for a hot minute. He and some of the Lakers have been rolling these kicks. Reggie Miller even talked about how they are the lightest basketball shoes (13 oz to be exact) . This “commercial” reminds me of the old ads he would do with Adidas specifically the one showing his dunking abilities (here). It’s no question that the KB4’s will probably be based on these shoes. a la hypebeast

The firm that coined the slogan “Just do it” just relaunched their website. It catalogs over 25 years of work and is built on one mean CMS. I was fortunate enough to meet with the fine gents at Instrument Marketing and had them sort of explain what went into this beast. Basically to update the site it’s even easier than updating this here blog. Not only that but each piece of work is linkable and the page doesn’t refresh when you go to each project.

last night a friend of mine at the park said he had something to email me, and that he thought i’d appreciate it. he was right. knowing this kid and the stuff he does on skates… i was scared and excited for him at the same time. there are no pics to accompany the story (his camera died). but you won’t need them. have a nice friday afternoon break and read this narrative/journal. hopefully we’ll have some more soon.

I know I’m not the only one here with an unwavering infatuation with Guitar Hero. And I’m sure everyone who’s played has thought “it would be so incredible to program my own songs.”
Well apparently some crafty nerds out there have cracked it and edited their own songs. If you have a modded PS2 you can download the iso and burn a DVD, etc. I don’t know the specifics of the editor or how they programmed out the notes.
This example is the single song EVERYONE wanted to see in the game. Through the Fire and the Flames, by over the top metal band Dragonforce.
