I’ve been interested in this movie since I saw the trailer, but I visited the website to find out info on the anticipated Coraline Dunks. Fortunately, the site had more to offer. An awesome interactive site with lot of features including behind the scene video clips, desktop screensaver of beautiful patterning, photo manipulation to put buttons over your eyes, posters and bookmarkers for you to print out. The art direction they took with this movie was impressive. There’s a link to a blog, which has been talking about the Coraline Dunks for all the collectors out there, but explore the site.

jordan brand recipe for success…. jordan VI (awesome), original white color base, (awesome), harlequin olympic color accents, patent leather upper, weird butterfly embroidery on the toe, annnnnd $150 price point… sigh. what’s difficult about making a white version of the DMP VI? white with gold… olympics.. come on.. not rocket science.
Images surfaced on the web on niketalk and on Hypebeast of a possible, speculative, not-yet-confirmed incarnation of the 23rd and final installment of the Air Jordan series designed by Tinker Hatfield. They are what they are, I’m leaning towards the “real” side of things, but we’ll see how this all pans out in February.
I received an email from Cecile of Le Bouclard (also the cut and sew designer of Artysm)
with a video clip of Le Bouclard. I thought it was the basement of their old location, but according to their blog it’s a new shop. I think it’s a spin off. wow.. im a magazine dude at heart. since i was about 12 i’ve had a subsription of some sort to atleast one of an ever changing array of magzines. yesterday i was at walnut st. catching up on photos, and i saw that our antenna mags had finally showed up. i took a look at the cover, scanned what was inside it, and then immediately read the james bond interview. dope. content that i hadnt seen on the internet. you won me over antenna. good job.
and.. the dudes that run it are good people too! look for some ubiq content in coming issues. i just noticed jeff ng posted about them, they’re getting their shine.. give them a read if you get a chance.
it is with MUCH pride and relief, that i cordially invite you all to the (re)opening of UBIQ. all of my friends are the support that has gotten chris and i to this point. rollerbladers, skateboarders, designers, buyers, publishers and who could forget the hypebeasts? all of you are invited to come see the new space a little early tommorrow night (may 11, 7pm). the official opening is saturday at 10am. stop in early so i can make sure you get the good stuff!

Another 25th anniversary for an influential sneaker. It’s been 25 years since the Reebok Freestyle came out and dominated the fitness scene back in the 80′s. RBK is re-issuing these with a twist.
Rent the movie “Perfect” with Jamie Lee Curtis and John Travolta to get a better appreciation for these shoes.

Trudie is one of my good friends and every time I visit Cali I have to see her. The first visit with her was when my sister had an appointment with our knee doctor Dr. Richard Ferkel. He’s a Chicago man and I told him about the stuff I’ve been doing with the Cubs which he was really juiced about. Then he ordered me to bring my sister to a place to get pie. But that wouldn’t happen until I did my rounds and we had some Roscoe’s.

At the last minute I decided to head out to Barcelona to check out Bread & Butter and the surrounding festivities, namely Dave White’s “The Court’s a Battlefield” exhibition. Unfortunately I was a bit too busy enjoying my trip to capture everything but thankfully the infamous BothanSpynet held down the extensive coverage. the past 2 months have been the busiest of my life. adding chris to the UBIQ staff has helped a LOT, but the workload has significantly increased since his arrival. to give you all a headsup on what’s going down… i documented our day on wednesday as we had the first of many meetings that will happen between now and mid january when we close the store for renovations. wow, i can’t believe that’s 3 weeks away! check out more pics… censored so that the name stays under wraps til we open.

Spotted this small set of photos of the forthcoming size? States which are set to release in size? stores the first week of December. These have been a highly anticipated release and I’m really happy to see they have been well and truely worth the wait, and by the sounds of it there’s going to be quite a release party.
