To promote the upcoming HBO movie “Recount” based on the 2000 elections, this pseudo booth was placed in Union Square to test the voting booths. My sister and I tried it out. I personally didn’t think it was confusing, but my sister thought it might of been a bit difficult. Unfortunately we can’t change the past, but regardless it was a good way to get people to watch the movie and get mad. Oh well. The movie will air Sunday, May 25 on HBO. More photos after the jump.

Kobe has been promoting the Hyperdunk for a hot minute. He and some of the Lakers have been rolling these kicks. Reggie Miller even talked about how they are the lightest basketball shoes (13 oz to be exact) . This “commercial” reminds me of the old ads he would do with Adidas specifically the one showing his dunking abilities (here). It’s no question that the KB4’s will probably be based on these shoes. a la hypebeast
Today i stopped by Stitch, a place where I freelance at. Pamela, the owner, introduced me to this toy that you plug into your computer when you want to fill in that empty USB spot. Remember the days when rollerblading had some ill commercials? Since the death of a consistant videomagazine, commercials go straight to the ‘tube’ with low quality aspirations, but finally a commercial with a good look and quality.
This has been semi-buzz since the beginning of the year when Burton showed this hoodie for the Fall line. As I leave the Wicker Park area, I did my last “rounds” around the hood, stopping at the shops I will not be visiting as frequently as before. To my surprise the hoodie was available.
We’ve talked about the movie. A couple of us got to view it and now its about to be available in DVD for every teacher and nerd to enjoy and for the supergeek, there’s the limited edition packaging.
