Lynnette is coming back home to Chicago to showcase her latest work at Solemates this Saturday November 3. With strong sponsorships backing it up, you know it’s going to be a bangout. So if you’re in the hood, definitely show your love and support for our homegirl.
Daveee’s straight hustlin’. After the Texas life he decided to come back to the west and just landed a new job working for the company Kallusive based in the LA area. He’s updating the Kallusive blog on the consistent tip.
Checked out AntonCorbijn’s Ian Curtis biography, ‘Control’ last night. Whether you are a die hard Joy Division fan, or just a casual listener, it’s an amazing picture. Beautifully shot, perfectly acted and successfully void of the traps many musician bio-pic’s tend to make.
I was talking to a very accomplished producer today about these spots, and he told me that when the agency that commissioned them contacted Wes, he said, “well, I don’t really want to do commercials any more, but i’ll do them for 100k/day”. Making him one of the highest paid directors probably ever. (when ridley scott does commericals he typically gets 40-50k/day, which is double the ‘typical’ rate for ‘middle of the road’ commercial directors, at 15-25k/day). Good to know ridiculous style is worth something…
‘Ye posted an interview on the infamous hot girl from his “Good Life” video along with a slew of photos you won’t be disappointed with. If you’ve been drooling over her, by the way her name is Angel, as much as I have you’ll want to go to his post ASAP.
Friend and colleague of mine fliped a link up for this presentation from the recent AIGA conference in Denver up on facebook. While I would have really enjoyed the actual audio that goes along with these slides, they are interesting none the less.

Tracy Morgan is performing in Schaumberg, IL and came on the local Chicago news station to promote his show at the Improv. You know he had to bring the pain. Big ups to Blindiforthekids.
About 4 weeks ago I went to NY just to chill. My coworkers were suppose to represent, but they didn’t buy their tickets. Plus it was bad timing for them to represent. As always nothing goes right when I travel. When I went to Seattle, I forgot to bring my credit card. The last time I came to NY/Philly I didn’t bring my camera lens. This time I didn’t bring my glasses. I will always forget something for a trip.
Their new album ‘Getback’ leaked this week and it turned out Phonte did it himself. It’s a good move and I hope everyone who supports them really supports them and picks up the album. It’s really is good and when you put it on itunes it comes with a cool message under the genre section you can check out under the jump. Anyway, enjoy and check out their myspace page for their tour dates. Continue reading ‘Little Brother is soo ill’
SlamxHype posted this up and i nearly crapped my pants. Having Kidrobot handling these items was a good move for one of my favorite TV show. They will be available next month. I think I figured out what (or should I say whom) I’m going to be for Halloween.
