So it seems the once undoubtable Rawkus Records is back. While many question whether they will ever reach the heights they did when putting out records by legends like Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch and Company Flow was a monthly affair, this Toronto born producer gives hope.
To promote the release of his new LP “The Port Authority” (think his version of Pete Rock’s “Soul Survivor”) Marco has teamed up with DJ Mick Boogie to make this mixtape freely available for download.
I’ve checked out the tape and the album and both contain some of the best hip hop of this year.
