Last week I went to a few art openings in Seattle. One of them showcasing Audrey Kawasaki’s work who’s been a favorite of mine for awhile as well as some other incredible work.

Back To the Yay

Went back up to the bay to hang out with Panic, to drop off my friend Jasko, hang out with my sister, and to get some Franco accounts. We left at the most horrible time where there was traffic leaving Los Angeles and around the Hanford area. The drive took forever, but we were glad to make it.

How To Be a Slave In a Black Eyed Peas Video

yo.JPG

I got the gig to be a P.A. in the “art department” for a Black Eyed Peas video. I knew how much of a crappy job being a P.A. would be, but for some reason after adding the “art department” part made me second guess it. WRONG. It was still a shit job position…at least the first part of it.

Thank you Multiplex

It seems London’s Wembley Stadium isn’t even going to be ready for next years FA Cup final but it’s not really all bad news. I went down to see what was going on at the £1bn site and to my delight, found some much needed new spots.

Who’s Lazy

The amount of screen-printing that went into this is crazy. Customs galore from shoe customizer and designerLazy’s latest show in Singapore. I’m most impressed by the custom nike bag/boxes.

that’s our boy. support revival. adrian shoots down the quality of the show throughout.. but i really like the laid back, more conversational tone. keep it casual. good catch-up show.

the world’s most important 6-sec drum loop

“This fascinating, brilliant 20-minute video narrates the history of the “Amen Break,” a six-second drum sample from the b-side of a chart-topping single from 1969. This sample was used extensively in early hiphop and sample-based music, and became the basis for drum-and-bass and jungle music — a six-second clip that spawned several entire subcultures. Nate Harrison’s 2004 video is a meditation on the ownership of culture, the nature of art and creativity, and the history of a remarkable music clip.”

Only one year and a few days to go before the Transformers movie drops …. so all we get until then is a French robot doing 540’s on a lake. Word.
