woah! ok, im sorry steve jobs, im sorry john lasseter… im SORRY pixar. i doubted you all. i saw the commercials, the trailers, and all of that merchandise, and i admit… i was SUPER skeptical.
well… part of me knew deep down insde that i had to see it, and that it might actually just be as awesome as EVERY OTHER movie theyve ever done. sure enough… DAMN! what a rad movie. if youre into cgi, well of course you have to go, but pixar isn’t letting anybody down with the script or the story. everything was a joy. i had but one gripe, but its nothing you cant get past. hit me up after you see it and tell me what you think. (the little pit stop dude was my favorite.)
also.. the new short “one man band” before the movie was genious! (big surprise) so smart, and fun as always. AND i have to mention the trailer for ratatouille… next summer’s (yes.. theyre approaching a yearly turnout!) pixar movie. as if there were any doubt… it looks awesome too.
two thumbs up for cars! go see it immediately.
this is good to hear, after the incredibles this seemed like it would be their first let down, but i’m glad to hear it’s all good.
definitely check it out… they can do no wrong! haha…
cars triva from imdb:
# If you look closely at one of the racing cars, it’s white, has the Apple logo, and the number is G4. G4 is a model of the Mac computer, which is made by Apple, which is owned by Steve Jobs, the chairman of Pixar.
# Even with a network of processors that ran four times faster than the ones on The Incredibles (2004) each frame of “Cars” took an average of 17 hours to render.
OMG@ render timez! :O
One Man Band looks good.
What was your gripe about cars? My gripe is it’s cg animation. I hate that Disney is so much after money and has given good ol’ ink and paint. yes I know Disney and Pixar aren’t the same but their success is what made Disney jump on the bandwagon.
cg animation is like butt seks with the universe for me, I enjoy watching it as it improves in each new cg movie almost as much as I love a good storey line and movie. I love eye candy.
the only thing that bothered me was the length. it dragged in some spots with the character developing. granted, its important to make you care about all of the characters, but it was slow at times while lightning was still in radiator springs.
