So I uploaded a new website on a new domain. I’m putting the use of “Armada Design” on hold partly because it doesn’t really reflect the style of work I’m trying to get and partly because I just felt I needed to start fresh, not to mention it sounds more suitable for a multi-person operation. which I am not. so the new url is “micahmicah.net”
Still have some kinks to work out to make it run more smoothly on all browsers and to get my code all w3c compliant and what not but it’s a good start, especially since I’ve been out of the internet game for awhile.
New rolling revival is up and this one is better than ever! (and not because of the exclusives™ mention, thanks again guys!) Tim and Adrian have been really working hard on the flow of the episodes, and combined with Joe Navran really being on point, I was dissapointed when it ended after what seemed like a short 35 minutes. Keep up the good work!
My dad drove me out to LA to meet up with my roommate at Amoeba’s out in LA. Kind of bad because he wanted to go shopping in there and Melrose. We tried to restrict ourselves in this God for saken place, but then I thought about the drive back to Chicago and how much of a variety of music we had. I ended up picking up the J Dilla’s Donuts album and Manu Chao’s Clandestino.
Here are three amazing, inspiring podcasts from RESfest keynote presenatations. Make some time to listen to motion graphics legends MK12, commercial and acclaimed music video director Mark Romanek, and designer, director and all around smart dude Mike Mills. These guys have all held the game down for a minute and drop some great knowledge.
Always fresh, barn burner coverage from the boys at revival. Mad tricks went down, we covered it here. Be sure to subscribe to the revival podcast. Props to adrian and tim for holding it down yet again with this special release, and the props.
The bay area boys are back, and with a new episode. In this week’s episode, Jake and Americo head to the infamous and the semi capped Embarcadero rekindling the classic Friday Night Skate…in the rain.
It’s not everyone’s cup of chia but whether you like it or not, prog rock is quickly making a comeback. My housemate’s band, Pure Reason Revolution has today released their full-length album on pre-order (full release 10th April) after a number of awesome singles and a mini album during 2005 on Sony BMG. The sound is epic to say the least, making an incredible change to over rated indie tripe and defiantly worth a listen via their myspace page. They are just about to embark on their second major UK headline tour after supporting Oceansize for the past two weeks and plan a tour of the US later this year.
Well I first got excited over the OQO when their video dropped a while back, only because of the “endless possibilites” that it could potentially offer, like say, coding websites on the toilet, or other “mobile” things of that nature. So now with this new Origami project coming along, and all these UMPCs popping up, the hype has returned, but do we really need to be so connected? And is a mac version around the corner …. ?
One of my favorites for a while now, acually from my home town of Sacramento CA. Contributes a lot to Computer Arts magazine, recently updated with some hot new work. ISO50
